DOTA 2 STRATEGY: The best Guide for Epic Tactics
Here you will find all unique Dota 2 strategy moves
1 ) Armlet (of Mordiggian) Toggle :
To pull this Dota 2 strategy off, you probably should at least have the Ability to press 2 keys at once w/o crashing to desktop in the process.
THE ARMLET TOGGLE (aka ZOMFGWTF!!!!HPBARWONTGODOWN!)
What the Armlet of Mordiggian Toggle does:
There is an enemy Chaos Knight running away with about 100 HP left. You and your team chase him down. Lets say a Lifestealer and a Windrunner with no mana left. You keep orbwalking and body blocking like a real pro but every time the health bar of Chaos Knight seems to run empty it suddenly jumps up again to ~10% of his max HP. You end up not getting the kill with the bitter taste of plastic in your mouth…How the Armlet of Mordiggian Toggle works:
It makes you literally immortal if pulled off properly and given the Fact, they lack a hard nuke to finish you off. If paired up with a good juke you will be able to escape even the stickiest situations with ease. The refreshing feeling you get from knowing you made them all munch on their keyboards is just …satisfying. For this trick to work you can use any hero and an Armlet of Mordiggian (preferably one who can make good use of the Armlet). If you find yourself running for your life and several enemies bulking up to send you flying you need to have the guts to toggle your Armlet into OFF MODE which leaves you with 1 HP left. As you can see the timing here is crucial because you must not get hit by ANY source of damage at the time you have only 1 HP . If you passed that the hard part is over as you simply reactivate Armlet into ON MODE which gives you +25 Strength equaling 475 HP (1 Point in Strength gives +19 HP) ADDING to you actual HP, so the fun can continue. This move in the hands of a real BOSS can make it next to impossible to kill a hero with only low DMG spells and auto attacks in a chasing scenario.
This is how the Armlet of Mordiggian Toggle looks in-game:
2 ) Fountain Hook
I know that most Dota 2 players will know the following Dota 2 strategy. Anyway its a very known and popular strategy and I would feel kind of bad if not starting with this one: The Fountain Hook…
What the Fountain Hook does:
Lets say the enemy Pudge is gonna start to glow slightly blue. And as always in Dota 2, there will come the point when Pudge is gonna hook ur ass and starts pulling. But whooooa that freaking hook just wont stop, NO it will pull you across the whole map; out of the battlefield and right into the enemy fountain. Dota 2 at its finest Bro!And you are dead.
How the Fountain Hook works:
For this Dota 2 strategy, you will need a Pudge, as well as a nice Chen.Chen`s ‘Test of Faith’ grants you the ability to buff an allied unit for, depending on the skill’s level, 3 to 6 seconds. After that time, the allied unit is instantly teleported back to base. What happens if the hook is in the air when the teleport happens?
Well the hook continues as norml and if it hits a unit, that unit will be drawn back to pudges actual position in the moment it strikes! ….which will be where? At the fountain. The following fountain damage will usually be enough to kill the enemy off. By using your ultimate you can even ensure that he is not able to run out of your fountain, just in case hes tanky enough. Mostly, the enemy will die and if triggered correctly, a fountain hook means a safe kill for you and your team.
And this is how the Fountain Hook looks ingame:
3 ) Medusa Jungle: Ancient Farm Trick (Medusa)
There exists a little mean trick to be able to farm the ancients and start your jungle route at level 1 by picking Medusa, the Gorgon on the Radiant side. This gives you the opportunity to have a quick and efficient start in terms of gold and experience. The down side is, that if the enemy knows what you are going to do, he can easily destroy your early game. As Medusa is a farm dependent hero, no succeeding with this trick will leave you in a pretty hard position to get up again. What the Medusa Ancient Farm Trick does:
Just in case you are on the Dire side and don’t know what is going on, th only thing you will notice is a missing Medusa. Until she finally charges out of the jungle, beeing two levels ahead and owns you with her ultimate. Thats pretty much it.How Medusa Ancient Farm Trick works:
You will need a Medusa as a hero (of course..), as well as a bundle wards and tangos or a quelling blade. I suggest you to get a quelling blade as it will accelerate your farm speed and your further jungeling.1.) First, you place the ward somewhere around this marked area, in order to give yourself vision of the ancient camp and their movements. If you set up the ward before the 30 seconds mark make sure not to block the camp!
2.) After that you need to eat (tango) or cut (quelling blade) you a path through the trees on your left. make sure you dont cutto the ancients but stop!
3.) As you have vision over the ancient camp you can start attacking them, make sure to skill splitshot first to accelerate the process. The ancients are gonna try to attack you but since they are unable to reach you in “aggro time” they will stop walking downwards and turnaround. Their path is the same as if you are stacking them. Continue attacking until they are dead. you always have the option to stack the camp but as you only can attack 3 targets at once anyway I would wait for more levels in split shot before doing so.
If done right you will be able to kill the ancients quite fast without taking any damage. This trick can be done with any ranged hero (assuming your attack range is high enough) but due to split shot you will be able to farm it in an acceptable amount of time.
It is also possible to do the trick from the Dire side and i haven’ tried it yet but should work. As far as I know Dire side is a bit more difficult. You will need to cut a path in between the top lane and the dire side’s ancient camp.
4 ) PUCK BOTTLE REFILL (Puck)
This is most commonly used by big trolls enabling the puck to finish his RAMPAGE!!! due to the fast health and mana restoration.
What the Puck Bottle Refill does:
Lets say you see a Puck with an empty bottle in his inventory. Puck suddenly starts to glow in a fancy fashion and casts his Illusionary Orb in a seemingly bad direction a few moment later. After another few seconds he disappears, but the orb is still flying on. Split seconds later he reappears at the orbs location with a freshly filled bottle in his inventory and a broad smile on his face. How the Puck Bottle Refill works:
You will need a Chen and a Puck to do this trick. Chen starts with casting Test of Faith (Teleport) an Puck which will, depending on Test of Faith’s level teleport Puck back to Base after 3-6 seconds. Puck now has to wait 1-4 seconds to have about 2 seconds left until teleport and then cast his Illusionary Orb. While the Orb is in midair, puck gets teleportet back to base by Test of Faith, refilling his bottle immediately at the fountain, then quickly casts Ethereal Jaunt to teleport back to the Orbs location before it wears off. He will end up standing just about 1200 units away from where he started but refilled his bottle and can keep on fighting. This trick was pulled off during TI2 by Natus Vincere (Na’Vi). Dendi played Puck while Puppey played Chen.
